With the last pick in the 2nd round (64th overall,) the Seahawks chose Justin Britt. Britt is a massive 6’6″ 325 lb Tackle from Missouri. In highschool Britt also excelled as a wrestler, going 45-0 his senior year and winning the state wrestling title. The draft “experts” call this pick a reach, graded as a 6th-7th round pick on nfl.com, however I trust Pete and Johns assessment much better. What we do know is he was Lineman of the year for a very good Mizzou team, 2013 All Conference SEC team, has great size, and great strength, and is said to have positional versatility and a high football IQ. The biggest key there is the versatility, he has the size, strength, intelligence and athletic ability to on play both left and right sides of the ball as well as any of the positions. The Seahawks really needed one of those ‘plug in anywhere’ linemen after losing McQuistan.
