With the 32nd pick in the 2014 NFL draft the Seattle Seahawks traded down with the Minnesota Vikings for two draft picks. Minnesota gave up a 2nd round (40th Overall,) and 4th (108th Overall,) draft pick to move up and select Louisville Cardinals QB Terry Bridgwater. I like this trade, we only moved down 8 picks and we gained an early 4th round selection in the process. The Seahawks came into the draft with only 6 draft choices and GM John Schneider made no secret of his willingness to trade our 1st round selection to acquire more picks. The Seahawks will now have 2 selections tomorrow in the 2nd round to work with. Pete Carroll and John Schneider have demonstrated a clear history of finding value in the later rounds, so I completely support their strategy. I look forward to seeing what Day 2 of the NFL draft has in store for us tomorrow. Go Hawks!
