Its been a busy week for Russell Wilson. In addition to leading the Seahawks to a shutout victory over the Giants, Russell also became a minor league 2nd base prospect for the Texas Rangers, and now CFO for Alaska Airlines. Well, Chief Football Officer, is what they decided to call his honorary position within the Seattle based airline company. The honorary title is just for fun, but what is serious is the major partnership that the star and airline provider have formed. Wilson will appear in marketing promotions for Alaska Airlines, and they will support him in sponsorship for his community work and charitable events. In addition, Alaska Airlines has announced that any passengers departing Seattle may be upgraded to priority boarding for wearing a Russell Wilson jersey for the remainder of the Seahawks season, which should take us through February 2nd if all goes as planned. The best part of this story to me was that there wasn’t a sickening dollar figure attached to the story, no 7 or 8 figure numbers in tweets about ‘gettin’ paid’ or ‘making it rain’… simply support for his community work and charitable events. That’s so Russell, what a cool dude. Go Hawks!
1ST CLASS ACT. Russell you da man !
