If yesterday’s loss wasn’t bad enough, it looks like K.J. Wright is most likely done for the year. Coach Pete Carroll said after the game that Wright broke a bone in his foot. Typical timeline for return is six weeks. That would put K.J. back in the lineup at around Super Bowl time.
Wright limped off the field in the second quarter and was visibly upset on the sideline when training staff was looking at him. He stated that he will return this season, but that we will have to wait and see.
Malcolm Smith will take over the weak side linebacker position in the meantime. Smith played well when Bobby Wagner was hurt and I expect the same with Wright out. If we have seen anything this season, it is that the Seahawks have depth in a lot positions.
Sucks he is out, he is a beast… but its not like Malcom Smith is a huge drop off. Our depth has saved us up to this point.
