League and Delabar on the Move

Following tonight’s victory during the post game show news came down that two Mariners had been traded, in separate deals. Brandon League rumors have been swirling around sports blogs and websites a lot over the last week, and really picked up in intensity yesterday. We knew League would probably be traded, but Steve Delabar was kind of a surprise. Here… Read More ›

MIDSEASON MIDFIELD MIX-UP

The next time the Seattle Sounders take the pitch their midfield might look a little different. The Sounders traded Fernandez to the Chicago Fire for allocation money. This was an interesting trade when I first read about it but once I thought it over it seems like a smart move. Don’t get me wrong Fernandez… Read More ›

We have all heard the news by now, Ichiro has played his last game in a Mariners uniform. In fact, in almost a too good to be true scenario, he was able to walk over to the visitor clubhouse and join his new team for game 1 of the series. Just 24 hours has passed… Read More ›

FAREWELL ROGER

Well I must say that the friendly match this past week sure had its ups and downs. It was simply amazing watching the European Champions move the ball around the pitch. Mariners’ Youth Excuse Grows Old

We have all fallen ill over watching the Mariners the last several years. Yet, we continue watching. We continue believing the higher-ups as they unveil their plans and beg for our patience. WHAT A NIGHT TO BE A SOUNDER!

What a night it was when the sounders snapped their 9 game league winless streak. What a night it was when Steve Zakuani stepped onto the pitch for the first time in 15 months. I get a sense from the way the sounders were playing last night that they might be on the uphill climb… Read More ›

Peguero Provides Power

Carlos Peguero has been called up while the struggling Hector Noesi heads to Tacoma.  I can understand the skepticism in being excited about the call up of a career .196 hitter, but I think he can provide the spark the Mariners need.  Its been tough watching the Mariners this year, mostly because they are so… Read More ›
